Travertine works particularly well in bathrooms because its warm natural tones bring texture and material depth to spaces that are often dominated by ceramic, glass and metal. For architects, it offers a way to introduce natural stone while keeping the vanity visually clean and easy to coordinate with floors, wall cladding and other stone elements.

Recommended Format

For most bathroom projects, we recommend:

60 cm depth × custom length

The 60 cm depth works well with standard bathroom cabinetry and provides sufficient space for countertop basins, undermount sinks and typical bathroom fittings.

The length is produced according to the project, allowing architects to specify the vanity as a continuous stone surface rather than adapting the design to predefined modules.

Why Travertine Works Well in Bathrooms

Travertine creates a softer and more architectural appearance than many conventional countertop materials. Its natural variation means each vanity has its own character, while the neutral beige and ivory palette integrates easily with timber, brushed metal, plaster and ceramic finishes.

For wet areas, we recommend a honed and filled finish. Filling the natural pores produces a smoother surface that is easier to maintain, while the honed finish preserves the stone’s natural appearance.

Proper sealing should be specified after installation to protect the stone from water, cosmetics and everyday bathroom products.

Natural Peruvian Travertine

Our vanity tops are produced from natural Peruvian travertine, available in warm ivory, cream and beige tones.
